Project Overview:

Our goal is to help babies, toddlers and preschool children explore music through song, dance, instruments, books and games, using an eclectic mix of music designed to appeal to young students' vibrant, curious minds. From nursery rhymes to the Beatles, from tom-toms to tambourines, our programs will provide valuable music education - because children learn best when they're having fun!

About Us:

We're Tara (left), Shannon (middle) and Kate (right), best friends since high school with 18+ years combined experience in the music industry, vocal arts, theater, dance, childcare, preschool education and children's occupational therapy.

We want to bring ABC Do-Re-Me! to the Pacific Northwest! Founded in New York City, it won a large loyal following and was chosen as one of the best music programs for children ages 6 months to 5 years old by CBS News and Time Out Kids.

When babies and toddlers are consistently engaged by music in an age-appropriate, socially accepting environment, they benefit at many levels:

More About The Program:

ABC Do-Re-Me! provides solid musical education in a lively environment designed specifically for young minds. The musical curriculum boasts everything from lullabies to folk rock, gentle melodies to driving beats and pop hits - music kids actually like!

Trained teachers lead the students and their parents in fully interactive classes that might find them playing an instrument one minute and improvising a dance the next. This hands-on exploration gives children an immersive musical experience, releasing their creativity and allowing their brains to forge connections that are unique to musical training.

What sets these classes apart, is the flexibility of drop-in classes for busy parents, allowing them to attend as often as they'd like, no contract required. Kids can come 5x a week or 5x a month without missing a beat. Discounts apply for siblings and families who choose to come more frequently. Monthly memberships and class packages are also available:

Curriculum:

The Musical Playdate provides a perfect balance between laughing and learning. From nursery rhymes to pop hits, the eclectic mix of music keeps the kids hopping and the smiles coming as guitar playing instructors dish out a big helping of fun laced with teaching moments. Instruments, dance grooves and boisterous singing add to the party as the children gain a musical education without realizing it.



Tales of belly buttons, hippos and neighborly chickens often make an appearance in the Musical Stories class, accompanied by the unexpected tones of a nose flute or washboard tie. Instructors read carefully selected books to the children, seamlessly integrating music to enhance the plot and provide an interactive experience as the kids sing and play along. The child’s imagination will soar as he or she discovers a love of books and music in this magical and often-silly setting.



Whether marching around the room to the pulsing beat of Grieg’s In the Hall of the Mountain King or making up silly lyrics to Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, your child will have a rip-roaring good time as instructors sneak in a classical music education under the cover of hilarious fun. Classical Playdate includes many of the greatest compositions ever written, accompanied by the students on unique and often giggle-inducing instruments.

We'll create a birthday party around your special theme, using dancing, singing, instruments, puppets, balls, parachute, a birthday story and more. Customized activities using instruments, streamers, puppet play, dancing, singing, parachute and more!

We'll bring our programs to schools, day-care, camps and any other educational institution. With a variety of educational subjects from dental care and nutrition to literacy and pure music education; we can teach and entertain student from 6 month – 3rd grade. We will bring our bag of tricks that includes instruments, books and games, and our instructors bring all the energy and excitement of our programs to the school. We can customize the curriculum for a specific age or theme, making it a perfect fit for any educational institution.

Music and child development are our life-long passions and we'd love nothing more than to provide a much-needed musical education to the bright young minds of Seattle, Tacoma and Gig Harbor, Washington.
